Summit Engineering and Design, LLC offers multi-discipline engineering and design services to the marine, refinery, power, and process industries as well as software development to enhance the use of 3D laser scanning in the CAD environment.
Our staff consists of several highly experienced and skilled engineers and designers including 7 licensed Professional Engineers.
We have been actively involved in the use of 3D Laser scanning since 2001. 3D laser scanning provides a method of gathering very accurate field data and greatly improves the accuracy of our mechanical and piping design. Summit owns two FARO Photon 120 laser scanners and we received the U.S.A's first FARO Focus3D, the latest model scanner available from FARO.
Summit also uses advanced design tools such as AutoPlant for 3D piping design and INTools for instrumentation design.
